Ystad – an eatery for every taste


Whether you are in town, in a village or out in the countryside your chances of fin-ding an eatery that suits your taste and pocket are good. You’ll find them in old buildings, cellars and back gardens.

There are restaurants by the sea, in the centre of rape fields and on bustling shopping streets.

There are restaurants that serve ingre-dients they buy direct from the nurseries and international kitchens that have won

 

awards – restaurants from the East and the West and everywhere in-between.

 

Once you have tasted good Skåne ingre-dients you’ll be pleased to hear that you can buy direct from farm-shops, delicatessen shops, butchers and fish shops.

If dining and dancing is your desire then there are nightclubs and discos with live music and DJs – many are open until the small hours.

Having a coffeee-break is culture

Ystad is full of small coffee houses and cafés, in fact there have never been so many. For many, a cup of coffee and a chat are the highlight of the day, some want caffe latte and other freshly brewed coffee.

The traditional bakery/café is well preserved in Ystad  but there is still plenty of room for more modern cafés and pavement service.

It is so easy to slip into a cosy café and order a coffee with a fresh Danish pastry or croissant far away from the madding crowd and queues and VIP cards – in Ystad, everybody is a VIP.
