Welcome to an educational, practical and flexible way of exploring Ystad and its surroundings. You decide the pace and in which order you visit the places yourself.

If you choose guiding in Swedish the actor Krister Henriksson will be your cicerone.

It is also Krister who has played the inspector Kurt Wallander of Ystad in the 13 Wallander films that have been made in Ystad, based on stories by Henning Mankell.

The actor and translator Lars-Christer Karlsson is your guide in English and German.

Lars-Christer lives and works in Ystad, but is maybe best known from the TV-series Swedish Hearts.

• Sandhammaren, the magnificent beach, approximately 25 km to the east of Ystad
