Ystad + galleries = top art!

In  unique 16th  century house in the centre of town there is a gallery that promotes art of exceptional quality. Exhibitions of works by established artists as well as new comers attract visitors from far and wide. And at Easter and during the summer months over a dozen quality-art galleries join this gallery and open their doors to visitors.

 

 

A gallery with international contacts

P O Nilsson, the man behind Galleri Max, collaborates closely with artists from Swe-den and overseas. International names in-clude Anne Marie Johansen, Vera de Haas and James Coignard, Swedish artists inclu-de Jennifer Saxell and Madeleine Pyk.


Small in size – large in numbers

In the town and surrounding country-side are a number of other exciting galleries, each with its own character. The materials and techniques used by the artists are just as varied.

The galleries include Galleri Valleberga, 1021 Designcenter, JHB Galleri in Löderup and the sculpture park at Marsvinsholm.
