There is much to see and to discover in Ystad!

Mystery hangs heavy in the air above Ales Stenar (Ale’s Stones).

Nobody knows why the 59 stones were placed here a thousand years ago.

What we do know is that people have been gathering here since way back in the centuries.

And they still do today.		 Ales stenar

Other fantastic attractions in Ystad are:

The night-watchman in the tower of the St Maria Church, the animal park, the monastery, the lighthouse at Sandhammaren, and Ystad’s houses, representing many different styles of architecture from across the centuries.
