Wallander films are not the only success story, also “Mother of mine”- nominated for an Oscar, Jan Troell’s Everlasting moment, Frostbite – Sweden’s first vampire film, Hipp-hipp’s Morgan Pålsson, as well as the Danish films, Tills döden skiljer oss åt and Det som ingen vet, were shot at Ystads Studios. |

Films are frequently shot on location in the streets and countryside around Ystad and the chances of seeing sets and actors are good. A popular attraction is the guided tour of the studios and Cineteket. The industry also encourages the next generation of film makers with part-time senior high school and university courses. |
